"Do all the good you can. By all the means you can. In all the ways you can. At all the times you can. To all the people you can. As long as you ever can." ~ John Wesley At Grayson UMC we strive to provide support to missions that are aligned to our beliefs and visions. Our members consistently 'step up' and take an active role in helping others in need. For more information about our missions or to learn more about how you can get involved in the life of our missions - - please feel free to contact any of our committee members listed within this page.
Grayson Christian Learning Center: GCLCprovides an accredited, off-campus Bible course for juniors & seniors attending Grayson High School. Jay Suender (formerly with GUMC and now Pastor of John Wesley UMC) teaches the classes. Jay picks the students up at school and drives them to the Sanctuary Baptist for classes. At the present time there are 37 students in the two classes; subjects are Comparative Religions; Families in the Bible; Old & New Testament. Since the courses are off-campus, prayer concerns and dealing with teenage problems can also be addressed. Grayson UMC supports this mission financially (public funds are not available), and can use your help with financial support, serving on the Board of Directors, enrolling your Student, spreading the word, or just visiting one of the classes! This is a priority mission as it could be the only contact that some students have with Christianity, while practicing Christians will be reinforced in their walk with Jesus.
