24 Hours That Changed the World...2010 Lenten Study
Join us on a 40 day spiritual journey exploring the final 24 hours in the life of Jesus of Nazareth, beginning with the last meal he ate with his disciples and culminating in his death and burial. Each Sunday, we will hear a message based on this study. We invite you to purchase a daily devotional to take you through the week as well - you will find these books at the Welcome Center Desk ($7 per book). Devote these 40 days to listening as God speaks to you through the story of Jesus’ final day.
The following Sunday School classes are participating in the 24 Hour Sunday School lesson. If you are not yet a member of a Sunday School class, now would be a great time to get involved!

Student Ministry:
Forward Motion...We've all made resolutions and set goals, but too often we fall short of what we expected to accomplish. Unfortunately it's often the same when we try to become the Christian we really believe God has called us to be. In this series, your student will learn following Christ is more about the small steps we make everyday, NOT about the huge leaps of faith we think we need to make. The students will set a goal, determine the first step and then make it!

Recreation News:
CHILDREN’S RUNNING CLUB...The running club is for participants aged 5 – 15 years and is limited to 50 participants (filled on a first come, first serve basis). Participants must submit an application and a fee of $30 made payable to Grayson UMC (fee includes practices and a t-shirt). The runners will be training and preparing for the Grayson Day 5K road race and One-Mile fun run on Saturday, April 24, 2010. Entry fees for these races are the responsibility of each runner. Forms may be picked up in the PLC or you can download a form on our Children's Recreation Running Club page. All forms and payments should be returned in the locked registration box in the PLC. Please direct any questions to the Children's Running Club Coordinator Janet Hart at

Connecting Through Christ - Our Connections Ministry is looking for a few friendly faces to welcome Grayson UMC Guests & Visitors as they arrive for our Sunday Worship Services.Â
These volunteers are equipped to answers questions about the church and our ministries. They provide a warm, inviting personal touch while directing folks to where they need to go.  This wonderful opportunity involves just 25-30 minutes of your time on the Sundays you choose (on a rotating basis). If you can help, please let us know!

Connections Ministry - Grayson Day Booth & Parade FloatÂ
Please join us for our next meeting on Sunday March 14th @ 2:30pm in Room 1 (Sanctuary Hall).  We need extra hands to assemble the float for this year's parade and/or "man" the Grayson UMC booth after the parade.

If you haven't experienced Grayson Day you're in for a real treat! The parade starts at the library and marches down Grayson Parkway past Grayson UMC, City Hall and Grayson Elementary. Volunteers help toss treats to the crowds that line the streets and everyone enjoys a fun afternoon in Grayson Park. If you can help with the booth or float, please let us know!
