Sunday Morning Worship Experience...

5th & 6th Grade Sunday School - Rm #3 at 11am
Life of Christ...Basics of Faith

Jesus is the central focus and figure of the Bible.  The Bible predicts His coming thousands of years before His birth, tells of His life and ministry, recounts His death, details His burial, announces His triumphant resurrection, and shows the remarkable changes in the lives of His followers.  Knowing Jesus is the beginning and the end of the Christian faith.  Through this year long study, your students will come face to face with Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

7th & 8th Grade Sunday School - Rm #4 at 11am
Community: The New Testament Church-The Essence of Fellowship
Using the Book of Acts as its backbone, Community covers many moments in the life of the new Testament Church, its miraculous inception at Pentecost, and its spread throughout the world.  Not only will students learn the history of the New Testament church, they will also learn their roles as members of the modern day Church.

snl Small Groups - During the School Year...Sunday Night Life is an opportunity for our students to grow in their Faith within our small group community.  Each student will be part of a group of 8-10 boys (or 8-10 girls) with one adult leader of the same gender.  Everyone will have an opportunity to study a relevant topic or issue within their group.  If you are interested in getting involved, please email Miss Charlie: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Wednesdays Nights...plan to join us in the CLC for our Student Worship Service at 6:15pm each Wednesday night beginning September 18th!

How Do You Get Here? Couch and Baycreek students meet at the bus line up at the front of the schools when they call for walkers and car riders.  Our adult walkers will meet you there!  If you attend McConnell we have several parents who carpool students-please contact me if you are interested in car pooling.

What Do You Get? Come back to GUMC for free tutoring, free snacks and hangout time.  Stay for dinner for only $6.  Then at 6:15pm we will meet up in the CLC for some awesome student worship! Students will be in the CLC for parent pick up at 7:30pm.  Please plan to pick up students at that time.

How Do You (Parents) Get Involved?  We have several volunteer opportunities for our parents to assist in this ministry.  Without the help of our parents we would not be able to grow-if you are available on Wednesday evenings 6-7:30pm, please contact Miss Charlie:

faith  Confirmation is a time of intentional preparation, leading to the first public profession of faith. During this time students reaffirm God’s grace and baptism while learning how to live life together in the church. Confirmation is the next step in a student’s faith journey where they are invited to claim the name ‘Christian’ for themselves.
Classes begin October 3rd and continue through February 27th.  Class meets every Sunday at 9:39 am in the CLC. Students may not miss more than three classes to complete Confirmation.

Confirmation concludes with a weekend retreat at Camp Glisson where students focus on their vows to the Methodist Church. There is a $90 fee for Confirmation that must be paid in full by October 3rd.
