Living In Faith Together...

Sounds great but how do you do that? At LIFT we have created an environment that allows you to discover who you are; so you can begin to grow in your relationship with Christ. Love God, Love People and Live Both! These are not just words - these are actions that we live out in our daily lives! How we live our lives’ is directly tied to our relationship with Jesus Christ….what does your life say about you?

Jesus said "The first in importance is, 'Listen: The Lord your God is one; so love the Lord God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your might-passion.' And here is the second: 'Love others as well as you love yourself.' There is no other commandment that ranks with these."  ~Mark 12: 29-31

LIFT - Parent Info…

To be effective in this daunting task, you must BEGIN at the END.  You and I have to ask ourselves WHO we want students to BE when they GRADUATE out of our ministry.  We know that CONTENT, not CONTEXT is what will determine WHO our students BECOME.

What makes this so DIFFICULT is that our TIME with students is MINIMAL at best.  Research shows that we will only have roughly 35 TIMES PER YEAR to invest TRUTH into our CORE students.  We have a BIG BIBLE and a TINY WINDOW of time with students. S o WHAT we TEACH is not just important: it is CRITICAL!
  1. Authentic Faith: True faith is knowing that you can trust God no matter what and having the confidence that he will do all he has promised to do.
  2. Spiritual Discipline: Focusing on our devotional lives. When we see as God sees, you will do as God says.
  3. Moral Boundaries: Establishing and maintaining clear moral limits. Learning how to protect our bodies and emotions by honoring God’s plan for sex and morality.
  4. Healthy Friendships: Your friends will determine the direction and quality of your life.
  5. Wise Choices: Making wise choices is all walks of our lives.
  6. Ultimate Authority: Knowing that true freedom is found under authority. We need to be able to recognize God’s ultimate authority.
  7. Others First: Selflessness must be learned. We will focus on the true nature of humility and service.

The above checkpoints are an intentional approach to student discipleship. These seven basic principles are what we would like for every student in our ministry to understand and embrace before they leave us.

LIFT - Volunteer Opportunities….

We have some opportunities available for you to be a part of our ministry team. God is doing amazing things with our students and I know that this team is something that you would be proud to say that you were a part of. Get involved today!

Sunday School Teacher: This is an every other month commitment that would require about 5 hours a month. We will provide you with curriculum to use as well as teacher training. This class meets at 11am Sunday mornings.

Small Group Leader: Facilitate a group of 8-10 boys or girls for two hours a week. This group can either meet in your home or at a location of your choice. Small group is a great way to grow in an intimate relationship with students as you lead them to understand what a intimate relationship with Christ is. Our small groups are meeting on Wednesday nights.

If you feel called to fill one of these positions, please contact Miss Charlie by email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or by phone at 678-886-4866.
